Following my mention of the old photo of Rock Street-Chesham Road which hung in the former entrance of the ‘I Didn’t Dare Go Inn’, could
you kindly ask the new owner of the photo if he wouldn’t mind me making a photographic / scanned copy of it? The only copy I have is my inferior snapshot from the wall of the I Go Inn through the glass frame. Perhaps he could have a copy made & charge me, or loan it?

Are you planning to open on Christmas Day??

yes, as last year, we will be open on Christmas Day, Boxing day and all the New Years’ days too.
We’re just starting to put plans together and it looks like we’ll be offering a mix of your traditional Yule Fayre for them as wants it and something a little more humbuggy for anyone who’s turkeyed up to the eyeballs.
Watch this space for more news as it develops.
(I really must update this blog more often. Eeep!)

Not at the moment. Heather has had a well deserved break over the Autumn to revel in the adoration that ‘Lip Service’ has brought and trip gaily around the Caribbean. But rest assured we do have plans.

huge apologies for not having got back to you sooner.
Hopefully you will have seen our new Winter menu, which is the menu we will have on for Christmas Day too.
We will also have more traditional fayre on our Specials board: Turkey Dinner with trimmings galore for £15 and Ye Olde Christmas Pud for £6
These menus will be served until 4pm. After that we will probably have to offer a reduced bar menu (essentially the ‘nibbles’ and ‘bites’ sections of our main menu) so that our chef can get to spend some time at home.
Let us know if you would like to reserve a table as we’re getting quite booked up.
